The numbers for the Dubrovnik DUB Bowl are impressive, which starts on Monday, July 8th, and will be played until Sunday, July 14th. Just like every year, this edition has drawn not only young female and male tennis players and their trainers, but also members of their immediate and extended families to Dubrovnik.
The strength of the Dubrovnik DUB Bowl is evident in the fact that thus far, at the outdoor courts of the Tennis Center Dubrovnik in Gospino Polje, nearly a hundred children who were national champions at that time have competed. Some countries, including Bulgaria, have even organized qualifying rounds from which the top performers advanced to Dubrovnik.
Given that this event has been running for a decade, many of the participants in the tournament are now players we see competing at major global tournaments. A notable example is Filipino Alexandra Eala, who won the tournament in Gospino Polje in 2015 and went on to win the 2022 junior US Open, securing the second position in the junior rankings.
